Five decades of language excellence

From a single English speaking school in 1971 to a globally trusted language institution — BSL’s story is one of continuous evolution and international reach.

1971
BSL established. Core English Speaking programme launched — covering speaking, writing, listening, and reading — alongside the foundational 12-week Personality Development curriculum.
1985
Foreign language division created. French, German, and Spanish added first; then expanded to 12 languages total. The CEFR proficiency framework (A1–C2) adopted to structure all levels.
2003
BSL Corporate Training launched — serving MNCs, BPOs, schools, and corporates. BSL became the preferred language training partner for organisations across multiple sectors.
2005
IELTS, PTE, and OET exam coaching added. Study Abroad consulting, Canada Permanent Residency coaching, and Australian immigration support introduced as specialist services.
2009
ESL, TESOL, and TEFL certifications introduced for language educators and trainers. QR-based digital verification added to all BSL certificates.
2011
Online learning introduced — BSL began its transition to a fully blended model, well ahead of the broader education industry.
2016–17
Kids Academy launched with Abacus (2016) and Coding (2016) classes, followed by academic support in English, Science & Maths for school students (2017).
2019
BSL's dedicated Android and iOS apps launched. A proprietary cloud virtual classroom and full LMS portal also deployed. Free demo classes made available on all platforms.
